Kia ora, it is an immense privilege to be the Principal of Big Rock primary School. The opportunity to work with amazing children and their families, alongside dedicated and capable teachers, supported by a committed Board of Trustees ensures that Big Rock is a great environment to learn and grow in. There are many things to be proud of, the children's high achievements in the key areas of Literacy and Mathematics, Our Education Outside the Classroom (EOTC) programmes that not only provide opportunities such as mountain biking, surfing, boogie boarding, scuba diving, class camps, ski trips, but also through integration, we use E.O.T.C. to support our Literacy and Mathematics programmes. We know that these programmes not only provide great experiences but also help develop self-esteem, personal and physical resilience and support mental-health. Equally, they add strength to Literacy and Mathematics.
With the children, whanau, staff, Board of Trustees, great resources at school and in the immediate environment, Big Rock truly is 'Learning in Paradise'
